Ingredients
• 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
• 1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
• 1 cup sour cream
• 1 cup whipped cream or non-dairy whipped topping
• 1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut
• 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional)
Instructions
• Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the drained crushed pineapple and mandarin oranges.
• Step 2: Add the sour cream and whipped cream, and gently fold everything together until well combined.
• Step 3: Stir in the shredded coconut, chopped maraschino cherries, and chopped nuts (if using).
• Step 4: If desired, add the granulated sugar and stir until dissolved.
• Step 5: Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours, before serving.
