Ingredients
• 4 salmon fillets (about 1 lb total)
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
• Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
• Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
• Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and ground ginger. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
• Step 3: Place the salmon fillets, skin-side down, on the prepared baking sheet. Generously brush the top of the salmon with the brown sugar glaze, making sure to cover the entire surface.
• Step 4: Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and the salmon is cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
• Step 5: Remove the candied salmon from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy the sweet and savory flavors of this delightful dish!
