Ingredients
• 4 salmon fillets
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
• Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
• Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
• Step 2: Heat the olive oil in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon fillets for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust.
• Step 3: Remove the skillet from the heat and set the salmon fillets aside. In the same skillet, sauté the minced garlic for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
• Step 4: Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the skillet. Whisk the ingredients together until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
• Step 5: Gently return the seared salmon fillets to the skillet, nestling them into the creamy sauce. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
• Step 6: Remove the skillet from the oven and let the Creamy Tuscan Salmon rest for 5 minutes before serving.
