Ingredients
• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1/2 cup honey
• 2 tablespoons hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
• 4 brioche or soft hamburger buns, split in half
• Sliced pickles, for serving (optional)
Instructions
• Step 1: In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, coating them evenly on both sides.
• Step 2: In a large skillet, heat 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
• Step 3: In a small saucepan, whisk together the honey and hot sauce. Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is warm and well combined.
• Step 4: Place the fried chicken on the bottom buns, then drizzle the hot honey mixture over the top. Top with sliced pickles, if desired, and the top buns.
