Ingredients
• 4 salmon fillets, about 6 oz each
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon ground allspice
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 habanero pepper, finely chopped (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions
• Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
• Step 2: In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, allspice, cinnamon, cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. If you want extra heat, finely chop the habanero pepper and add it to the spice mixture.
• Step 3: Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon fillets and use your hands or a brush to evenly coat the tops and sides.
• Step 4: Generously rub the spice mixture over the oiled salmon, making sure to coat the fillets completely.
• Step 5: Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
