Ingredients
• 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 2 tablespoons capers, drained and rinsed
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
• Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
• Step 1: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper.
• Step 2: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is hot, add the salmon fillets and sear for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and the skin is crispy.
• Step 3: Remove the salmon fillets from the skillet and set them aside, keeping them warm.
• Step 4: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the capers and garlic, and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the garlic is fragrant.
• Step 5: Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the lemon juice. Season the caper butter sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
• Step 6: Serve the seared salmon fillets immediately, drizzled with the warm caper butter sauce.
