Ingredients
• 2 cups crushed pretzels
• 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
• 3 tablespoons white sugar
• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 (8 ounce) container whipped topping
• 1 (6 ounce) package strawberry gelatin
• 2 cups boiling water
• 1 (16 ounce) package frozen strawberries, thawed and sliced
Instructions
• Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a medium bowl, mix together the crushed pretzels, 3 tablespoons of white sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.
• Step 2: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1 cup of white sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in the whipped topping until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
• Step 3: In a medium bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in the boiling water. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then stir in the thawed and sliced strawberries. Pour the strawberry gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
• Step 4: Refrigerate the Strawberry Pretzel Salad for at least 4 hours, or until the gelatin is set and the dessert is chilled throughout.
